Haylon Technologies Awarded $1.2 Million AFWERX Phase II SBIR Contract

Haylon Technologies has secured a $1.2 million contract as part of the AFWERX Phase II Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program. The company's innovative approach to strategically leveraging complementary battery technologies impressed Air Force stakeholders during Phase I, leading to the signing of a Customer Memorandum from the 23rd Special Tactics Squadron for continued development. 

During the Phase II effort, the company will deliver a prototype run of enhanced-range quadcopter batteries to Air Force stakeholders and flight testing over a period not to exceed 21 months. The system architecture will be applicable to any Blue-certified UAS, with planned testing on several platforms.
